Working with my hands has always been a part of my life. Since I could move I have been collecting skills and creating things. “Lake life”, Native American Culture along with places I travel have been working their way into my pieces. I create jewelry that I like to wear first and foremost and then I share them.

Knoxville is home to a diverse community of artists, arts organizations and cultural institutions. Since 2003, the community has come together on the First Friday of every month in downtown Knoxville. Over recent years, the celebration has extended throughout the city, encouraging people to venture out and enjoy great art and great company throughout all of Knoxville.

A growing number of galleries and venues throughout the city feature a variety of artists’ displays and live music. Downtown anchors include The Art MarketThe Emporium and the downtown Visitors Center, home of the WDVX Blue Plate Special – all conveniently located on Gay Street. Stroll, sip and shop throughout the evening! Meander over to Market Square and the Old City for additional art, entertainment and dining options.

The Mill Yard is an art collective located in the lobby of Stonebridge Lofts. This downtown Mill District residential community established The Mill Yard in 2017 as a venue for artists to display their work and connect with art enthusiasts and collectors. Three times a year, The Mill Yard presents a new exhibit with an Opening Reception that includes the opportunity for conversations with the featured artists.

Work will remain after the opening for the extent of the full exhibit.

Event parking is available at two adjacent lots: Cook County Community Center and Cook County YMCA, as well as in designated street parking spots.
